BluesPatika Club – 14th September
Thanks to Hungary’s characteristic blues musicians, their talent and success, for 2010 we are one of the strongest countries in blues music in Central Europe. The life of blues got stronger in the past thirty-forty years, and by now there are about 250 bands in this genre, although we still know little about them. The new professional club series, starting on the 14th of September (organized by Bluespatika Association and Gödör Club) will help us do this. At the first occasion Rockabilly blues will present themselves. The host of the night will be Tom White and his friends, who will be waiting for you from 6 pm.
PROGRAM:
Rockabilly school with Tom White
Amerikan musical styles in the 50s. From blues to rockabilly. Coherences and overlaps. Fashion or lifestyle?
From 6:30 pm a 90 minute long film screening: from delta-blues, Chicago blues, country, hillbilly, rockabilly, neorockabilly
From 8 pm workshop with guests:
Country blues harp – Csaba Bessenyei,

Rockabilly guitar – Péter Lukáts “Gorilla”, Rockabilly
