Les Hurlements d’Léo

Monday January 25, 2010

Folk Error, Maszkura and the Tücsökraj, Les Hurlements d’Léo – 4th of February

This is going to be a real “multietno-worldmusic” evening in Gödör Club, where we can dance for Les Hurlements d’Léo’s concert (which is by the media just mentioned repeatedly as the second new wave Mano Negra), we can muse for Maszkura’s special lyrics completed with Tücsökraj's accordion, and before all of this Folk Error will play. At the end of the evening, DJ Jutasi will also mix together some nation’s folk music until closing time or over that.

Folk Error plays together since 2006. They mix rock music with folk, this is also what their name meant to refer to. They have been awarded at many talent scouts, and they always keep the audience very much awake until the end of the show.

Maszkura and the Tücsökraj is a very exciting formation both musically and in the feeling they create on stage. They are bringing musical grounds from over the boarder and mix that with accordion and guitar, which will produce a great transition between the two other concerts.

To the Hungarian audience we do not really need to introduce Les Hurlements d’Léo, the French sanzon band. They have played four times at Sziget Festival’s World Music stage, and also around the world from Canada to Australia, through Japan and Russia until all the way to Syria.
After playing in Bordeaux as a bar band, their career started at the end of the ’90s. Most of the times they are referred to as the worthy descendant of Mano Negra and Les Négresses Vertes, as they mingle traditional French music with gypsy music or with Cuban rhythms, as trumpet, double bass or accordion and violin are playing together. Real French, alternative pot-pourri, dynamic concerts, big smiles and dancing party atmosphere is characterizing their nights.

You can purchase tickets on the day of the concert for the price of 1200 HUF.
