An exciting getting together between Budapest and London. Dreadzone, Britain’s most successful electro band and one of the most dynamic bands of Budapest, Carbonfools, have found each other. After their concert in Gödör, the two bands will give two other concerts in the United Kingdom this fall. The speciality of this concert is not only that an international friendship was born, but also that Dreadzone is giving an album release party of their new album, Eye on the horizon, which can be purchased at the concert published by 1G Records.
Dreadzone’s new, very much expected, album was released on 26th April 2010 with the title: Eye on the horizon. The album contains traces of the already proven successful elements but also shows new ideas. The guys continue where they stopped with the Top 20 song Little Britain. This time the band is reborn with ten new songs where the accomplished song writing style meets a danceable dub background. This is the style that made them one of the most original and innovative bands of the UK dance music scene. Their sounds were also used and further developed by others. The MC role and the reggae vocals create a perfect harmony with the live guitar music, the electronic beat, and the dub bass. They are using some iconic tunes such as Long Good Friday theme from the Gangster, lyrics from Woody Guthrie, or the classic from Dennis Browns (Whip Them Jah) from the album American Dread published by Greensleeves. All these tunes and themes are perfectly supporting the emphasised bass and beat sounds of Dreadzone.
