Chris Potter was a sheer prodigy, he started his musical career at the age of threee, and by the time he was ten, he played alt saxophone in an enviable way. He has been giving concerts since the age of 13. He inherited his eclectic musical world from his parents, who had got a wide selection of music from the classics to contemporary rock.
By the time he had graduated at the Manhattan School of Music, he was a virtuoso on many different instruments. He had been nominated for a Grammy award many times, and he is the youngest musician has won the Danish Jazzpar award ever. He said, all he would like is, if people, who are listening to his music would be dancing for it too.

On the 7th May 2010 the New York Jazzgödör series presented a world famous and recognised artist of the jazz scene, Chris Potter and band.
