Jazzékiel, Grand Mexican Warlock, Azokon a Napokon, No Man’s Land – 6th of March

The concert of Jazzékiel is a sort of anniversary, since their first official album, Legend EP, was released 5 years ago. To celebrate this, the band has made it available for everyone for the first two weeks of March to download songs, artworks, photos and a concert video from their website. On saturday concerts will be held by Jazzékiel and its members' different formations (No Man’s Land, Azokon a Napokon, Grand Mexican Warlock).

No Man's Land's vintage rock is played by Áron Hajba and his brothers. Milán Miklós and Ratkóczi Huba (Esclin Syndo, Seen)does a bit of psychedelic art-rock with Azokon a Napokon. The third group is the ground band. As a guest, István Molnár will play in some of the songs.

After all of this Áron Hegyi (Jazzékiel, Grand Mexican Warlock)will stay behind the piano, and Laci Szabó (ex-Idoru, Jazzékiel, Grand Mexican Warlock)will swop his drums to a guitar as the front man of Grand Mexican Warlock.

Azokon a Napokon

Azokon a Napokon was formed in 1998, in Budakeszi. They play a sort of art rock. They don't care about limits of styles, only the birth of music. They have been on many talent shows with great results, the most remarkable of these was when they got International Live Award's Hungarian first prize in Vienna in 2008.

Grand Mexican Warlock

Grand Mexican Warlock

Laci Szabó (ex-Idoru, ex-Blind Myself, Jazzékiel) has dreamed this mysterious-named band, not much more than a year ago. This time instead of the drums he is on stage with a guitar. Their music would be best described as psychedelic or we can imagine a mixture of Led Zeppelin, The Mars Volta, Jeff Buckley, Oceansize, Radiohead, etc. To all of this he found musicians such as Matyi Mohácsi (Shell Beach, ex-Idoru), Tamás Reich (Subscribe), Dani Somló (Esclin Syndo), and not long ago Jazzékiel's keyboard player, Áron Hegyi and the singer Undos from My Small Community.

The band was formed in April, 2001 by 3 friends in Dunaújváros. There are only two musicians left from the original line-up: Áron Hegyi (music, piano) and Péter Jakab (lyrics, vocals). After the first changes, Milán Miklós (bass guitar), then Áron Hajba (guitar), and László Szabó (drums, known from Blind Myself and Idoru) has joined them.

The audience have got to know them in 2005, when their first album, Legend Ep was released with the song, Utolsó Lemezlovag, which was really acclaimed on Radio Café's top list.

Hunnia Records has released their next two albums, the first one in 2007, and the second one, a concept album, in 2009. The songs of the album were played in MR2 Petőfi Radio's acoustic program that year too.
